Mass Deformation of Super Yang-Mills in D=2+1

A mass-deformation of three euclidean dimensional N = 1 SYM theory is carried out. The gluons of the theory are made massive using a nonlocal gauge and Poincare invariant mass term due to Nair, while fermion masses are introduced using standard gaussian terms. The underlying supersymmetry algebra is shown to be a non-central extension of the Poincare algebra by the spacetime rotation group so(3). The incorporation of Chern-Simons couplings in the formalism is also presented. The dimensional reduction of the gauge theory and the SUSY algebra is related to a massiveN = 2 massive matrix quantum mechanics based on euclidean Clifford2(R). 1 ar X iv :0 90 9. 09 59 v1 [ he pth ] 4 S ep 2 00 9
